CL500 Off-road capability is here.  Game changer!  Converts the rear suspension travel from 6" to 8.5".  Moves the upper shock mounting point to the former passenger peg mounting location on the frame.  Mounting brackets allow for changes to the shock angle which in turn will stiffen or soften the rear end for heavier or lighter riders.  We find that for riders 150-165 lbs, use the front hole in the bracket. Heavier riders will be further back. This does lift the bike about 2.5" at the seat and adds about the same amount of ground clearance.  Needs to be used with similar modifications to the front fork to keep the bike in balance.  No longer uses the rear passenger peg brackets.  Due to the new shock location it will not clear the stock exhaust without spacing the muffler out away from the frame about an inch or so.  If you are looking into this kind of off-road performance for this bike you should have already gotten rid of the very heavy stock exhaust that is mounted very high up anyway.  Kit comes with 2 new shocks built specifically for this application, new shock relocation brackets, and all applicable hardware. Shocks are gas charged, preload and rebound adjustable.   I don't recommend it, but you could literally MX this bike now.
